These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Looking forward to running the rest of chapters when we finish with ToA. The lore and ties to Chult and ToA in the product are so good my party didn't even realize we were running additional side content. I also wrote a bunch of dialogue between Artus and Xhosola and Xhosola thanking the party for thier actions in restoring the heart. I ended up writing a bunch of flavour text describing the tree withering and charring as a part of the Heart's cleansing ritual. I found the conclusion following Kolate is a bit light on info and pretty abrupt with nothing that really ties in anything until after ToA finishes. I also used the suggestion spell from the Helm to make one person touch the coin and trigger the spores before the battle occurs.Ĥ. I used this to create a dialog with the party where I shared some of the info they didn't get from Rhoga in the Seething Halls from Kolates point of view as well. I swapped out his goggles of night with a Helm of Telepathy used to communicate with whoever was closest to the coin and really talked up Kolate beleives that he has created the tree to devour the. I found the encounter with Kolate at the end of the Heart of Wild and its conclusion a bit lackluster and I didn't like that he just attacks on sight. Mesika's presence is the seething halls is justified by her teleportation belt but I haven't found anywhere where thats explained unless it's somewhere in the later chapters that i missed.ģ. This supplement is great for anyone looking to expand the interactions with Artus Cimber in ToA and the lore of Mezro.Ģ.
Some of my notes/concerns from running the Heart of the Wild it so far:ġ. They really enjoyed the content and I'm looking forward to running the other chapter content following our Completion of ToA. Just finished the first "Heart of the Wild" chapter as a set of additional content for my group on their return from Orolunga.
